SPARTAN SPACE is also developing technologies for operations in the stratosphere, an environment that offers unique opportunities for research, testing, and aerial platforms.
We work on High-Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS), stratospheric drones, and balloon-borne platforms operating above conventional airspace.
These platforms can serve as testbeds for materials and components in space-like conditions, where low pressure, higher radiation, and large temperature variations allow early validation of technologies intended for space missions.
Beyond unmanned systems, SPARTAN SPACE is also interested in the future of human stratospheric flight and would welcome the development of platforms capable of enabling safe human operations at extreme altitudes, opening new perspectives for scientific observation, technology demonstration, and exploration at the edge of space.
